Author information
The full paper submission system is now open.
Full Papers must be submitted by Monday, 12 January 2009 or they will be withdrawn from the conference. Use of the full paper template is mandatory and only full papers following the instructions provided below will be considered.
Full paper submission
To submit your full paper you will need to re-enter the on-line submission system. Please check very carefully that all the information you have provided is correct. Here is a summary of what you should have provided:
- Click on the number of the paper you wish to submit
- Check the title is still correct and ensure it is in CAPITAL letters on the full paper only. If amending the title on the online system, please use lower case apart from the first letter of each word which should be in CAPITALS
- Browse to upload your pdf camera-ready file. Please do not page number your file
- Ensure a biography of the presenting author is entered
- Ensure all authors are listed on the final page. Again using lower case letters except for the first letter of each name
- Ensure affiliations are correct. This is for the organisation you represent, eg London Power Associates Ltd and not professional affiliation eg the IET, AIM, etc
- Click finish to complete. You will receive a confirmation email
Papers will be published in the Conference CD-ROM from the author-supplied 'camera-ready' copy. Please do not page number your file. Original material must be provided in all cases and the paper must be in the form of a .pdf document.
It is essential that authors make sure all fonts are embedded and .pdf files are submitted unlocked. If files are submitted in ‘Read Only' format or with security we may not be unable to publish your paper. If fonts are not embedded in the .pdf the file may not print correctly and again may have to be omitted from the CD-ROM.
The final paper should be submitted as a .pdf file, in maximum 4 pages in 2-column format. Papers will be published in the Conference CD-ROM from the author-supplied 'camera-ready' paper .
Each paper must have at least one author registered by Tuesday, 3 March 2009 , to avoid the paper being withdrawn from the conference CD-ROM. The author must be present at the conference to present the paper either orally or by poster presentation. Failure to do so, even if registered and paid for the conference, will result in the paper being withdrawn from IET Inspec database and IEEExplore. You are reminded that the Institution or other associated societies cannot meet any travelling or subsistence expenses for authors, either prior to or during the conference.
Poster tours
Ever author of an accepted paper will be given the possibility to display their work in the CIRED poster session. Displaying an overview of your paper in the Poster Session gives you an opportunity to talk directly with individual delegates and go into much deeper discussion than is possible in a large auditorium. There will be a programme of organised interactive via Poster Tours .
You also meet a group of interested delegates during your slot in the Poster Tour . We strongly encourage all the authors to display their work in the poster session even if their report is also selected by the session chairman & rapporteur for further oral presentation in main or RIF session.
We also ask that you submit a Quad summary. The Quad summary will be used for promoting the poster sessions (communication rolling screens during the event) as the standard presentation at CIRED 2009 will be a poster .
